All in all, a whopping 25 million homes are due to undergo an assessment under these new proposals. Whether you are able to get Government help or not, all of these methods will substantially reduce your bills and they are all a lot easier than you might think to install. For example, many people don’t realise that they are literally burning money because their loft insulation just isn’t thick enough and doesn’t cover enough area in the loft. The philosophy is simple: invest a small sum today, reap the cash rewards for years and years to come. In an age where fuel prices are always surging up, it makes perfect financial sense. Even if householders don’t eventually qualify for help, what it will do is focus people’s attention on more ways to save money and benefit the environment. Many energy saving methods are cheap, and fuss free to fit, and once the savings have been pointed out, for many people the decision is already made. And that whole process of highlighting the ways to save can only be a good thing.

The Guardian newspaper also reported that the prices of Solar PV installation is falling so fast that by 2013 they will be half of what they cost in 2009, resulting in solar electricity playing “an important role” in meeting the UK’s renewable energy targets.
Thanks for posting - Green Electricity continues to looks like a better and better investment!
