Green Homes Concierge

This site, the Green Homes Concierge is worth a visit if you are based in London. It is a QUANGO funded by the London Development Agency, but it works closely with the Energy Savings Trust (which is Government and Private Sector Funded). Among other services, for £199 it will send someone to your house to do a Home Energy Report and give you 12 months use of the Concierge Service. To quote from their website:

" We suggest how you could improve your home's performance, along with the likely cost. We'll also offer you advice on commissioning the necessary work and can manage the work with your agreement."

Green Homes Concierge is run by Ten UK which is one of these personal assistant services for the money rich, time poor types. This means that they have a long list of trades people who can do work required to improve your home. And that, at least, overcomes one of the barriers to improving your energy usage.
