UKAware

A friend who runs Fairgift pointed out the London Aware 2008 conference which will run in the Barbican Exhibition Hall (in London) on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of May, 2008.

To quote their aim: "We want to show how modern life and considerate living can work together. You might be surprised, greener living can even save you money and make you feel good about doing the right thing too." I think this exhibition is a great idea. Bringing together businesses, charities and experts, as well as people who are taking their first steps into a greener world.

Their site goes on: Our events are long overdue, but they wouldn't have succeeded before now. Our aim is to stage events every few months across the UK to make them easy for as many people as possible to get to. Our next two events will take place in Manchester and in Edinburgh. As I learn more about them, I'll post it here.
