A fresh start for My Greener School

Sorry it's been so long. This time of year is always quite hectic, and it's not helped by all the new projects we've got on the go at the moment. In fact, I thought I'd use this blog to ask for some advice on one of them – we're looking at redeveloping My Greener Home's sister site, My Greener School and any suggestions or ideas you have would be much appreciated.

MGS is a lot like My Greener Home, but is aimed towards schools, universities and other education or public sector organisations. At the moment, the layout is not ideal, but what we really want to do is make it a useful resource instead of just an e-commerce site – somewhere that facilities managers and teachers can go for information on how they can achieve a greener, healthier place of learning.

So far, here's what we'd like to include:
  • going green guides
  • environmental auditing tools
  • funding resources
  • lesson plans

If you can think of anything you'd like added to list, or if you have any ideas at all regarding the site, drop us an email on ideas [at] mygreenerschool.co.uk. We'd really love to hear from teachers in particular, especially those with experience of applying for some form of green accreditation such as Eco-Schools status.

Thanks, and have a great week!

Edwin

I have a question about solar.I can understand that on a sunny day we can use it.But does it work on a cloudy day and night time? I went to a website www.FreeCleanSolar.com to get some info. The website guys talked about using battery system or grid. The Website gave me quite a good info about Solar manufacturers, price comparisons, leasing , tax credits and other solar info.Is it advisable to put my home on solar power???
